Track record

2026 – now

Observability in consulting

Global IT consultancy

A new chapter since July 2026: bringing hospital-grade monitoring practice to enterprise clients across industries. Metrics, logging, alerting and the automation that keeps them honest. Tooling follows the client, from classic monitoring stacks to modern observability platforms, with AI-assisted engineering where it earns its place.

2023 – 2026

Logging for critical infrastructure

IT operator of a hospital group

Built a centralized logging and monitoring platform for hospitals classed as critical infrastructure (KRITIS), rolled out across sites nationwide. Splunk as SIEM, migration from Icinga2 to CheckMK, automated reporting with Python and PowerShell, anomaly detection together with security teams, day-to-day work side by side with the Linux/DevOps crew.

2020 – 2023

Ransomware recovery

Large university hospital

When a cyberattack encrypted the hospital's systems, I took a key role in the recovery: 60 TB of data and Active Directory access for 12,000 staff restored, a hardened Veeam backup infrastructure designed from scratch, a temporary data-center container procured so the hospital could keep operating. Promoted to team lead: 8 engineers, full data-center rebuild. The quieter part of the job: SAN storage from three different vendors, all file and VM backups, hardware procurement, installation and repair across two data centers.

2015 – 2020

Monitoring at scale

Large university hospital

Designed and rolled out enterprise-wide Zabbix monitoring for three data centers and 12,000 users. Automated server patching and restarts with PowerShell and Python. Coordinated a team of three through 700+ IT and medical system integrations, owning vendor selection, procurement and documentation, and streamlining approval and rollout processes along the way.

Own products

Built, shipped and operated end-to-end: product, backend, servers, deployment and the partner deals behind them. AI works inside the products: from receipt and product recognition to search across partner catalogs.

Wishlistme

flagship

My main product. Wishlists and group gifting: add items from any store, friends chip in for expensive gifts together, reservations stay hidden from the wishlist owner. AI recognizes a product from a photo and finds it across partner stores, backed by real agreements with affiliate platforms and with shops directly.

Splav

hobby project

A raft on the Vistula is a hobby shared by a big group of friends, and this service pulls everything we need for it into one place. Seat and tent bookings, who drives whom to the raft, expense splitting with AI receipt recognition, a recipe book that calculates the shopping list for the crew of a specific trip, and voting on future raft upgrades. A particular pride: the on-board dashboard that merges every device, from solar panel and batteries to motors and fridges, so we always know where power stands and how long we can run the engines.

The servers underneath

infrastructure

Every product above runs on its own small server fleet: standalone Docker hosts for the simple services and a Docker Swarm cluster where failover and zero-downtime updates matter. Deployment is automated from commit to production, and the fleet is watched by the same kind of monitoring I build in the enterprise. Plus the plumbing no real product ships without: transactional email, media storage, partner API integrations. Practice what you preach.
